Who We Are

Energy Options Australia is a boutique energy consulting business with offices in Forest Lake, Brisbane and in Pine Rivers. While the business was founded in concept in 1988, Energy Options Australia formally came into operation in 2002 to provide cost effective energy consulting and related services to a wide range of businesses.

Energy Options Australia is proud to be an independent consulting business with no ties to any retailer or other related services providers that means we focus on solely on delivering the best possible outcome for our customers.

Our services are provided on a fee for service basis with no hidden brokerage fees or trailing commissions. In this way we provide an honest and transparent, value for money service to our customers.

While the majority of our customers are in South East Queensland, we provide services to many other customers throughout the State and Nationally.

Our Consultants

Andrew McNair

Andrew is the Principal Consultant for Energy Options Australia and has had over thirty one years experience in the electricity industry in areas of generation, distribution and retail. Prior to Energy Options Australia, Andrew worked for companies including Queensland Electricity Commission, SEQEB / Energex and CitiPower.

Andrew's core expertise is in providing electrical / energy management consulting services to commercial and industrial customers. Over the last 9 years Andrew has been involved primarily in providing specialist services to Bodies Corporate in the area of energy efficiency, energy contracting and utility on-supply.

Andrew has extensive knowledge and 'first hand' experience in the implementation of measures to effectively manage electricity supply costs and his key areas of expertise include energy efficiency advice, tendering and contract negotiations, and training and up-skilling personnel to manage electricity costs.

Ken Schull

Ken brings a wealth of experience to the business with over forty five years experience in the electricity industry. From his early days as an apprentice with Golden Circle Cannery, to working as an electrical contractor in New Zealand, and then to his later years with Energex, Ken brings a broad range of experience that few consultants could ever achieve in their lifetime. This experience is invaluable in delivering sound advice to our customers.

A large part of Ken's career was with SEQEB and then Energex in areas of Marketing, Technical Advisory, Technical Services, Technical Support and Tariff Specialist. Ken has specialist knowledge in Queensland regulated tariffs and in the areas of commercial energy use.

Energy Options Australia also works with and has available a number of other like minded and similarly qualified and experienced businesses and consultants to jointly deliver a wider range of services to customers when required for large scale or National projects.

Energy Intelligence Pty Ltd is a Melbourne based consultancy business that works in partnership with Energy Options Australia in managing our Victorian, South Australian and National portfolio customers.

A Brisbane based consultancy business that works in partnership with Energy Options Australia in managing larger National portfolio customers and projects requiring the combined resources of both businesses.

A Brisbane based consultancy business that focuses on resource management. BCMP works in partnership with Energy Options Australia to provide waste, water and general environmental management services for our customers.
